Services

We strive to give our clients and their families financial independence. Our partnership with clients allows us to work side by side to develop and implement customized strategies to create and preserve intergenerational wealth.

Our Approach

When you work with our team, we become your “personal chief financial officer,” offering the resources to coordinate all of your financial needs. We have developed strategic alliances with key professionals who can handle your estate and tax planning. We believe that the synergy created by professionals working together makes our team approach more effective than working with any one of us individually.

Our Core Values

Our business is defined by our core values. This is what our clients can expect to receive from us.

Integrity: We are trustworthy and honest in all aspects of our business. We mitigate any and all conflicts of interest by:

  • Always acting in the best interest of our client
  • Maintaining complete confidentiality regarding personal and business matters
  • Employing a fee-based pricing structure
  • Keeping our clients informed at all times about their accounts and changing market conditions

Prudent Judgment: Creating and managing intergenerational wealth is a profound responsibility. We will exercise prudent judgment at all times by:

  • Emphasizing quality in all portfolios
  • Proactively managing portfolio risk

Competence: In the end, it is our competence that determines our clients’ success. We will maintain our edge above the competition by:

  • Utilizing the most advanced tools available
  • Pursuing continuing education
  • Applying new disciplines to the investing process

Service: Our clients expect and deserve exceptional service at all times. We will deliver exceptional service by:

  • Caring about them personally
  • Creating a “family” atmosphere for them
  • Exceeding their expectations

Value: Our clients should expect to receive more from us than they would elsewhere. We will deliver exceptional value by:

  • Providing our clients with educated advice and service at a fair price
  • Coordinating the expertise of other professional advisors (i.e., accounting and legal)
  • Developing and implementing strategies designed to maximize the creation and preservation of intergenerational wealth

Our Investment Philosophy

It has been our experience that investment success is usually determined by a steadfast commitment to a core of clearly defined investment principles. Collectively, the principles listed below define our investment philosophy.

  • It is possible to achieve superior returns by developing a long-term plan and not deviating from it. Successful investors have a written Financial Plan and Investment Policy Statement.
  • Market timing is not an investment strategy. Long-term investors should remain fully invested unless there is a clear rationale not to do so.
  • Risk is a part of life. Your investment risk can be managed with proper investment management techniques. Proper asset allocation and style diversification* can help minimize risk and maximize returns.
  • Prudent investors help mitigate risk with capital that is not at risk in the marketplace. Chasing “hot” performance inevitably leads to poor investment results.
  • Ignore market noise. Rational judgment – not emotion – should govern your investment decision-making.
  • Devise an exit strategy so that you have the money you need when you need it.
  • Work with someone who will take the time to make sure that you understand the realities of the investment climate and the investments you make.

Our Investment Process

Accomplishing our clients’ financial goals is the result of having a process by which we manage critical decisions. It is our responsibility as investment advisors to help our clients make these decisions most effectively.

We utilize a disciplined process called Total Portfolio Planning. The process is made up of four distinct phases.

→ → →

Phase 1: Discovery

The objective of Phase 1 is to gather information about our client. In the discovery meeting, we discuss each client’s goals, values and attitudes about money. We review current financial statements and establish the framework for the Total Portfolio Planning Process.

Phase 2: Strategy

In Phase 2, we develop an Investment Strategy Proposal – a comprehensive proposal that analyzes the existing portfolio and outlines recommendations for developing the long-term strategy.

Phase 3: Implementation

The goal of this phase is to implement our investment strategy successfully. We develop an Investment Policy Statement – a blueprint that clearly defines your investment goals and objectives and the investment strategies that will be used to help achieve them.

After developing the Investment Policy Statement, we begin the Investment or Investment Manager Search to find the most appropriate selection. Once completed, we present a list of suitable investments or private money managers for consideration during the Investment Selection Meeting. Once the investments or managers have been agreed upon, we then rebalance the current portfolio to make it consistent with the long-term investment strategy.

Phase 4: Monitoring

Once the strategy has been implemented, one of our key responsibilities is to monitor every aspect of the client’s investment program. This is an ongoing process to ensure that every action taken in the client’s account is correct and consistent with his/her Investment Policy Statement.

Another core element of the monitoring process is the Portfolio Review Meeting. This periodic meeting keeps the client abreast of all matters regarding his/her investment plan. In this meeting, we address portfolio performance as well as recent developments in the financial markets.

The final step in the Total Portfolio Planning Process is the Annual Review Meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to conduct a comprehensive review of the client’s investment plan to ensure that we are on course to meet the client’s goals and objectives. Any changes in the client’s financial situation are taken into consideration. Consequent adjustments to the current investment strategy are discussed and implemented as appropriate.

We welcome your call! We would be happy to discuss your situation or answer any questions that you might have.

We would like to be the team you choose!

*There is no assurance that any investment strategy will be successful. Investing involves risk and investors may incur a profit or a loss. Asset allocation and diversification do not ensure a profit or protect against a loss. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
