Maria's distinctive ability to manage multiple aspects of our practice is a testament to her strong capabilities and knowledge. With more than 25 years of financial industry experience, she operates as the chief executive officer of our team and assists our clients throughout the retirement planning process.

It's important to Maria and our team, that we maintain the highest standards as we attend to our clients' needs. Earning specialized designations, Maria holds a financial planning certificate from Boston University and is a Certified Estate Planner. As a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, she guides our clients through their planning process to help them achieve their long-term goals.

Before joining Raymond James in 2012, Maria worked at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and its predecessor firms – working in various capacities throughout the years that included administration, management, financial and retirement planning. She earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Nova Southeastern University and a master's degree from the University of South Florida. Maria is a lifetime member of Psi Chi, an honor society for psychology, and is also a member of Phi Kappa Phi and the United Service Organizations (USO). Active in her community, she supports the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA), Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Manos al Sur.

A Miami native, Maria is bilingual in Spanish and lives in South Miami with her family. A serious animal advocate, she is the owner of (or is owned by!) two, much-loved English Cocker Spaniels, Winnie and Missy. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, dance and fitness.
