Mike Acampora, a specialist in the community bank stock sector, has more than 25 years’ experience as an investment professional, most of it in the community bank stock sector. In June 2004 he formed The Michaels Advisory Group (TMAG). Together, the team focuses on managing clients’ assets in community bank stocks and, in addition, providing a full range of investment and planning services to officers and directors of banks.
His past involvement with the financial institutions group at Advest, Inc., with Williams Securities Group, Inc. – a Florida-based investment bank and NASDAQ market-maker that focused on community bank stocks – and with its eventual acquirer, Robert W. Baird & Co., has given Mike a thorough grounding as an investment professional specializing in bank stocks.
As a senior vice president, he developed and managed private client relationships and institutional clientele for both companies, with particular emphasis on bank stock investors.
With the support of Raymond James' Equity Capital Markets department as underwriter and market-maker of Florida bank stocks, Mike and TMAG can provide clients with a full range of advisory services, market-making, debt and equity placement. In addition, the team publishes a newsletter, The Florida Bank Stock Review, which chronicles bank activity.
A graduate of the University of North Florida with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Mike holds Series 7 and 63 licenses. He is actively involved in the restoration of historic properties in Jacksonville, Florida, where he resides with his wife, Rosalin, and their daughter, Michele.
