Scottye Ratliff’s pursuit of excellence started on a high school football field under the tutelage of the legendary Gordon Wood. His pursuit would take him on to Abilene Christian University and the 1977 NAIA National Football Championship, where he served as the Wildcat’s running back and kickoff returner.
After graduating with his Bachelor of Science in 1979, Scottye pursued his faith as a youth and family minister in Amarillo and his native Brownwood, Texas. Then in 1993, at the encouragement of a friend, Scottye turned his efforts to the financial services industry. He spent more than 10 years with Edward Jones before joining Van’s team in 2004.
As a financial advisor, Scottye focuses on getting to know who his clients are as people, first, and investors, second. He commits himself to treating his clients with the utmost respect, encouraging their aspirations and working closely with them as they pursue their financial goals.
Scottye, a father of five and grandfather of four, currently resides in Midland, Texas, where he is a member of Midland Christian High School’s Booster Club and the Golf Course Road Church of Christ. In his spare time, he enjoys working out, golfing, fishing and hunting.
