Professional - Brad Welch began his career on Wall Street in 1981 with Merrill Lynch as a runner on the floor of the Gold Exchange in the World Trade Center in New York City. By 1990, and still in his twenties, Brad had worked his way up to senior vice president and branch manager in Georgetown for the second largest office in the country of Wheat First Butcher Singer, which became Wachovia Securities. In the fall of 1991, Brad joined Raymond James as a first vice president of retirement,investment and financial planning at RJ's headquarters in St. Petersburg, Florida. In 1994, Raymond James & Associates made Brad a member of their President’s Club.
In 1995, Brad became a registered principal of Raymond James Financial Services and in 1996 became a member of their Executive Council. He provides investment services to high-net-worth business owners and professionals.
Education - In 1982, Brad graduated from Duke University in just over three years with an economics degree while playing varsity tennis for the Blue Devils. In 1990 he went on to complete the Security Industry Association's three year executive program at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton Graduate School of Business. In 1992, he finished Raymond James’ five-part financial planner series with emphasis on retirement plans, insurance management, estate planning, investment planning, and income tax planning. In 1998, Brad completed the College for Financial Planning’s CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM Educational Program.
