International Financial Planning Services

Here is a list of financial services we offer upstate international businesses, employees and internationals living abroad:

I. International Businesses: Goal - to help international businesses located in the US understand what their options are for retirement benefits for their employees, help them choose the most tax efficient plan for the business and/or the owner to improve their bottom line while offering a plan with incentives to attract and retain key employees.

A. Retirement Benefits

  3. select investments, including socially responsible investment options
  4. determine plan provisions
  5. enroll and assist employees with investment selection, rules and regulations regarding their plan
  6. ongoing advisory services

II. Expatriates living and working in the U.S.: Goal - to educate these individuals about investing in the U.S., college planning, tax planning with regards to investments and income, insurance, retirement planning and estate planning needed while living in the U.S.

A. Investments - while they are living here and most likely making more money than in their home country, their discretionary income could be used to invest in the U.S. markets

B. College Planning - create a savings plan for children that intend to enroll in a U.S. university. If they aren't sure, create other tax deferred savings vehicles for higher education expenses

C. Tax Planning - use deferral strategies and shelters to advise clients on mitigating taxes while living and working in the U.S.

D. Insurance Planning - determine if the client needs extra life insurance to protect their income stream and families in case of their demise; to determine if an umbrella policy is needed.

E. Retirement Planning - determine amount needed for retirement and advise on the options to meet that goal. Must take into consideration all retirement funds and pensions in and outside of the US. If expat plans to retire in the US, we can develop an American retirement profram based in US dollars.

F. Estate planning - determine how to properly pass assets to heirs whileminimizing taxation of estate or if plan already present, esure that appropriate tools and techniques are used to successfully achieve client objectives as reflected in the estate plan. Also, individual state laws must be taken into consideration when making decisions about designating heirs.

III. Non-US citizens living abroad (cannot be living domestically) : Goal - help them invest in tax advantaged off-shore mutual funds

A. Offer internationals exposure to top institutional quality money managers and investment in large global, mid, and small cap US companies and fixed income instruments.

B. Moving money to the USA and exposing them to U.S. income tax needs careful consideration. It is important to utilize offshore tax deferred annuities to keep these investments out of the active taxsystem until such time that they are needed.

IV. US citizens living abroad: Goal - to ease their mind about how their financials are being handled while they are living abroad. To make the most of the benefits overseas' residency provides while protecting them from unknown or new financial obstacles. Be aware of the changes, both positive and negative, that expat status creates.

A. Supply all financial planning services while living in a foreign country

B. Hands on management of accounts while expat is traveling and living abroad
