Margaret Selby wears many hats at 1792 Wealth Advisors and has a hand in nearly every aspect of the business. She manages the daily operations and client service staff, provides support for supervision and compliance on the branch level, collaborates with our branch manager and office manager, and supports our client service, business development and marketing initiatives.

Margaret also plays a key role in welcoming our new clients and financial advisors to 1792 Wealth Advisors. She provides dedicated and focused service to our clients by overseeing our highly customized client onboarding and service models. She helps welcome financial advisors who join 1792 Wealth Advisors, providing the tools and training for each practice to operate independently while accessing all resources made available to them to support their businesses.

Margaret thrives in her multifaceted role and cherishes the uniquely wonderful opportunity she has to grow with a practice that is developing at a fast pace and is supportive of her own professional career growth.

Those who work with Margaret appreciate her positive attitude and excellent organizational skills. She has an uncanny ability to create a workflow for any event, which includes effectively communicating, providing deliverables, organizing action items and diligently following up.

Margaret came to Raymond James in 2017 as part of a team from Morgan Stanley to establish 1792 Wealth Advisors. While at Morgan Stanley, she worked as a registered associate under the private wealth management division, serving ultra-high-net-worth clients. She also served as the Western New Jersey client service associate coach, training new and current associates on key areas of business.

Earlier in her career, she was a registered sales assistant, training specialist and client associate national advisory council member with Wells Fargo Advisors. She earned a bachelor’s degree in media communications from The State University of New York College at Old Westbury and holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses as well as accident, health and life insurance licenses.

Despite her demanding schedule, Margaret still sets aside time to be involved in the community and support organizations, such as Autism Speaks, CASA and Girl Scouts of Madison/Harding.

Margaret is originally from Brooklyn, New York, and today lives in Parsippany-Troy Hills, New Jersey, with her husband, Will, and their children, Isaiah and Wynter. In her free time, she enjoys all outdoor sports, bike riding, entertaining, cooking, interior decorating, event planning, photography and riding her Vespa around town.
