Nick has a passion for the financial planning industry and for helping people achieve reassurance with financial planning.
“My main goal is to help clients feel confident with their financial direction and plan,” says Nick. “Each person’s goals are unique to their circumstances. I love diving into the details and discovering what is important to each client.”
Nick also places emphasis on doing what is right for the clients and follows a fiduciary standard in all circumstances. “Focusing on what’s right for the client is so important to me. When you do the right thing, I truly believe it develops into the best for both the client and the advisor.”
A natural conversationalist and team player, Nick leads client reviews and assists with client financial planning and analysis. He also reviews client investment strategies and monitors client portfolio needs. Additionally, Nick has a special interest in tax efficient charitable giving strategies.
Nick brings a rich educational and professional background to Raymond James. He’s been a credit analyst, client service coordinator, production manager, and account executive across several industries. He holds an MBA from Grand Valley State University, a bachelor’s degree in finance from Davenport University, and a bachelor’s degree in religious studies from Grace Bible College and is a multi-year award recipient in Western Michigan’s Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) business case competition. Nick is also a Certified Financial Planning professional™.
Nick credits his strong work ethic to growing up on a farm and working in his family’s retail nursery. Today, he lives in Allendale with his wife Courtney and is active in his church in Zeeland. In his leisure time, he enjoys basketball, football, running, and reading. But his favorite activity spending time with Courtney and their daughters Vivian Grace and Victoriana Joy, whom they both adore.
