Shane Serrano, AAMS® Financial Advisor, RJFS

My parents instilled in me the importance of family and friends, education, knowledge and reason, and personal finance. As a result, I learned the concepts of saving and planning from a young age and how to build and nurture long standing relationships. This, along with my experience in banking and lending, made my journey to becoming a Financial Advisor an obvious fit for me.

With financial planning, there are many unknowns to consider. Will I have enough to support my family? What if the unimaginable happens to me or someone I love? How do I navigate retirement, Social Security, Medicare, and my estate plan as a whole? My mission is to help you navigate and solve these unknowns.

Early in my investment career, my wife and I received terrible news. Our two-year-old daughter had an incurable cancerous brain tumor, known as DIPG. A year later, she succumbed to the ugly disease. It was, and continues to be excruciatingly hard to channel my grief. But, watching my little girl battle cancer with the strength and grace that many adults would envy, I know I can do just about anything myself and want to instill that same type of drive in my clients to help them meet their lifelong financial goals. While my career choice allows me the opportunity to help others, it also gives me a reason to put my best foot forward every day.

While my parents taught me about money, my daughter gave me an appreciation for the present moment. As my client, I want to learn about you and your present before we plan for your future. Ultimately, I am your financial sounding board and follow a fiduciary standard of care for advisory clients at all times. That means that I have your best interest at heart - not because I am bound by law to do so - because I choose to. I genuinely care about my clients and their well-being, the same way so many others have cared for mine.

I hold a degree in teaching, so naturally, my passion lies in educating my clients and building long-standing relationships. My goal is to get to know you, what your aspirations are, and together, build a solid plan for your financial future. I want to be with you every step of the way.
