Tyson’s mission since joining Raymond James in February 2017 has been to work with financial advisors who are seeking greater control over their professional and personal lives. Consultative and adaptable, he helps advisors better understand the benefits of the independent model and Raymond James Financial.
Tyson was a regional director and recruiter in business development at LPL Financial in San Diego, and a financial planner and retirement income specialist at MetLife Securities and MetLife Investors in Irvine.
“The conservative approach to financial services is what attracted me to Raymond James and how they put advisors first,” Tyson says.
Tyson graduated in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and in international development studies from UCLA in Los Angeles.
With a love of music and helping others, Tyson plays bass guitar and volunteers at a local homeless shelter every Friday morning.
Tyson and his wife, Janelle, make their home in Irvine, California. They have a daughter, Amariah, and a son, Abram.
