Raymond James Recognized for Innovative Technology for Fifth Consecutive Year

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James was recognized with the Technology Innovation Award for the fifth consecutive year by Bank Insurance and Securities Association (BISA) for the firm’s commitment to technology-based solutions and advancements. This year, the firm was recognized for its advisor mobile app, a customized and unique mobile application that allows the firm’s advisors to quickly respond to clients and access key information remotely. Award winners were announced at BISA’s annual convention, which took place in March in Hollywood, Florida.

BISA’s Technology Innovation Award recognizes firms that are leading the advancement of the financial service industry’s products, services and platforms through innovative technology. This award highlights companies for their commitment to advancements in technology-based solutions for the industry. In years prior, Raymond James has won the award for the firm’s Client Reporting application; Account Aggregation tool; Client Center, a highly integrated system designed to help advisors manage client relationships; and Goal Planning & Monitoring, the firm’s retirement planning software.

Raymond James’ mobile app allows advisors access to client details, including portfolio holding information, recent trading activity, CRM notes and more, with the click of a button and through a centralized and direct digital channel. The app is designed to provide an intuitive user experience and delivers a seamless user experience when moving from PC to mobile device, without any interruption to client service.

“Raymond James’ Advisor Mobile application is an important tool in our suite of technology offerings to help our advisors manage their practices effectively and strengthen their relationships with their clients,” said Vin Campagnoli, chief information officer at Raymond James. “We are proud to offer this to our advisors along with our other robust advisor-facing technology options.”

Advisors have praised the utility and ease of use of the mobile app. An advisor affiliated with Raymond James’ Financial Institutions Division (FID) described the advisor mobile app as “the most efficient business management and client service tool in my 16 years in the industry – A true game changer for the service of my clients and the growth of my business.”

“We’re honored to be recognized by BISA for excellence in technology innovation for the fifth straight year,” said Tim Killgoar, senior vice president and head of FID. “Raymond James is dedicated to providing industry-leading technology to arm our advisors with the tools they need to best serve their clients, and this award is a testament to that ongoing commitment. We’re pleased to offer award-winning technology like our Advisor Mobile app to our bank advisors along with our suite of integrated technology tools.”

Candidacy for the 2017 Technology Innovation Award is limited to products launched in 2016 and is open to BISA Leadership members, as well as Associate and Associate Plus members. The award is not representative of any one client’s experience, is not an endorsement, and is not indicative of future performance. Neither Raymond James nor any of its financial advisors pay a fee in exchange for this award. BISA is not affiliated with Raymond James.
