Raymond James Recruits $400 Million Advisor Team from Merrill Lynch in Greensboro, North Carolina

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James recently recruited financial advisors David C. Anderson, CRPC ®, and George L. Hall II, CRPC ®, to Raymond James Financial Services, Inc., (RJFS) – the firm’s independent broker/dealer – in Greensboro, North Carolina, according to Jodi Perry, Southeast regional director for RJFS.

They will operate as 1808 Capital Partners and they join from Merrill Lynch, where they previously managed more than $400 million in client assets. They offer financial planning and asset management services to a variety of clients, including business owners, endowments and foundations, families and individuals, healthcare professionals and women investors. Over the years, Anderson and Hall have continued to grow a legacy business that began with Anderson’s father, who recently retired after a 50-year career with Merrill Lynch.

“David and George are among our industry’s next generation of successful financial advisors who are not only dedicated to serving long-term clients, but are also focusing on the client of the future,” said Perry. “Raymond James is committed to helping support our advisors as they prepare their businesses for the great wealth transfer and address evolving client needs, and we’re pleased David and George found our firm to be the best fit for them and their growing client base.”

“We were drawn to Raymond James because of their client-centered culture, the client experience they offer and the depth of resources available to advisors like us,” said Hall, Senior Investment Manager and Managing Partner. “All three were very important in our decision to make the move. Building on a legacy business, we have added a younger generation of clients, some children of long-term clients, and having the right expertise and support to continue serving our existing clients and their families, as well as the next generation, was paramount.”

Anderson, Senior Investment Manager and Managing Partner, continued, “We feel that Raymond James understands what it requires to manage a financial advisory business. During our due diligence process, it was clear that Raymond James values independence, and that it provides an environment where we are afforded the freedom and flexibility to truly run all aspects of our business – to make the decisions we know are best for us and our clients.”

Anderson began his financial services career nearly 20 years ago at Merrill Lynch after graduating from Wake Forest University. Hall started as a financial advisor over 10 years ago with Merrill Lynch after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). Also joining them at Raymond James is Celeste Allen, Client Relationship Manager, who previously worked as a Client Associate with the group at Merrill Lynch. She graduated with her bachelor’s and earned an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
