Raymond James Recruits $250 Million Advisor Team in Brentwood, Tennessee

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James recruited senior financial advisors Alan E. Williams, Thomas M. Hunter, CFP®, and Susan W. Crunk to Raymond James Financial Services, Inc., (RJFS) – the firm’s independent broker/dealer – in Brentwood, Tennessee – according to Jodi Perry, RJFS southeast regional director.

The team, which includes senior practice manager Katie Ward, operates as the Williams Hunter Wealth Group and joins the firm from Wells Fargo Advisors, where they previously managed approximately $250 million in client assets and had annual production of about $1.8 million. While they serve a variety of clients, many of their clients are multigenerational families.

“Without question, the future of the wealth management industry is going to require advisors to blend a higher degree of professional advice with the ability to leverage new technologies. We felt Raymond James was the best firm to help position ourselves to meet the evolving needs of our clients,” said Hunter, managing partner of Williams Hunter Wealth Group and senior financial advisor with RJFS. “It became evident to me, by their investment in technology and the continuing education for advisors, that they are anticipating the trends in the wealth management industry, and investing in areas that will improve the advisor-client relationship of the future.

“Our due diligence process spanned several months and Raymond James continued to stand out. The firm has a broad scope of resources, enough influence in the industry to support the needs of our practice, and objectivity and independence when it comes to putting the client first. That combination is unique in our industry.”

Williams, Hunter, Crunk and Ward collectively bring 75 years of financial services industry experience. All are graduates of The University of Tennessee with bachelor’s degrees from the Haslam College of Business and concentrations in accounting, finance or public administration. Prior to forming Williams Hunter Wealth Group as managing partners, Williams, Hunter and Crunk all served as vice presidents – investment officers at Wells Fargo Advisors.

“Alan, Thomas, Susan and Katie are a forward-looking team that shares the same client-first values on which Raymond James was founded,” said Perry. “We welcome them to our independent channel, and look forward to supporting them through world-class technology and resources, as they continue to grow their independent practice and serve their loyal client base.”
