Raymond James Recruits $166 Million Advisor Team in Akron, Ohio

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James recruited financial advisors Lee S. McCauley and Evan McCauley to Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS) – the firm’s independent broker/dealer – in Akron, Ohio, according to David Sisemore, Midwest regional director for RJFS.

The father-and-son pair operate as McCauley Financial, LLC, and join Raymond James from Merrill Lynch, where they previously managed approximately $166 million in client assets. They serve a variety of client groups, including corporate, individual and trust clients. Joining them at Raymond James is Mark E. Lyons, who serves as branch manager for their practice as well as an RJFS registered client associate.

“Considering another firm, especially when you’ve spent the entirety of your career at one firm, is a difficult and important decision,” said Lee, managing partner at McCauley Financial and RJFS financial advisor. “Ultimately, Raymond James’ client-centric culture was the reason we chose to move. The firm has a long history of putting clients first and it’s evident in their dedication to their wealth management business.”

Lee began his career more than three decades ago at Merrill Lynch, where he spent his entire financial services career before joining Raymond James. He received his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University.

Evan, partner at McCauley Financial and RJFS financial advisor, also began his career at Merrill Lynch, joining Lee’s practice in 2014. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Miami University.
Mark began his financial services career at Merrill Lynch in 2006, and joined UBS in 2009, where he remained until joining Raymond James this year. Mark received his bachelor’s degree from Mount Union and his MBA from Kent State University.

“The independence and freedom given to advisors to manage their businesses and the culture at Raymond James continue to be driving factors as advisors consider what is best for them and their clients,” said Sisemore. “We’re pleased to welcome Lee, Evan and Mark as they build and grow their independent business.”
