Alex. Brown Recruits Advisor Team Managing $180 Million in Assets from RBC in Los Angeles

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Alex. Brown, a division of Raymond James, recruited veteran client advisor Collin Rigler and associate Eric Montijo in Los Angeles, according to John Davis, Coastal regional director for Alex. Brown. Rigler and Montijo operate as the Rigler Group and join from RBC, where Rigler previously managed approximately $180 million in client assets.

Rigler brings nearly three decades of experience managing portfolios for private and corporate client accounts at various firms, including Alex. Brown/Deutsche Bank, where he previously served as a managing director and client advisor from 1994 to 2002. He was most recently with RBC for 13 years, where he served as a financial advisor and manager in Beverly Hills and Manhattan Beach, before rejoining Alex. Brown in 2017. Rigler earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Economics from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.

Prior to joining Alex. Brown, Montijo was a financial advisor at RBC Wealth Management. An associate at Alex. Brown, he is responsible for all equity research, market analysis, equity syndicate and presentations necessary to guide the team’s portfolios. He also assists the corporate and executives part of the business that caters to C-level executives. Montijo graduated from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, where he earned a degree in Business Communication.
