Raymond James Recruits $180 Million Advisor Team in Little Rock, Arkansas
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James recruited financial advisors Taylor Adams, CRPC®, and Annie Norris to Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS) – the firm’s independent broker/dealer – in Little Rock, Arkansas, according to Kirk Bell, Central regional director for RJFS.
The duo operates as Southern Wealth Group (SWG) and joins from Merrill Lynch, where they previously managed approximately $180 million in client assets and had about $1.5 million in production. Joining them at Raymond James is senior client representative Teresa Ammons. The team works with individuals, families and small business owners.
“Having been with our previous firm for so long, we didn’t take a move lightly and we took more than a year to evaluate how a potential move might benefit us, but more importantly, our clients,” said Adams, managing partner at SWG and RJFS financial advisor. “Raymond James has the technology and the investment expertise that we need for providing best-in-class service to our clients, and the firm allows us the freedom to truly run all aspects of our business.
“Beyond that, Raymond James’ support reinforces their dedication to the success of their advisors. The support and commitment, even at the local level, shows that they are invested in the growth and success of our practice.”
Adams began his financial services career at Edward Jones before moving to Merrill Lynch, where he remained for the last 14 years. Adams earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, and obtained his designation as a Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM through the College for Financial Planning®.
Norris, managing partner at SWG and RJFS financial advisor, began her financial services career in 1987 at Merrill Lynch, where she remained for the last 31 years before joining Raymond James. Norris earned her bachelor’s degree from Arkansas Tech University.
“Having attended a Raymond James conference as a visitor, I learned more about the firm’s unique culture and the support they provide advisors. I was also pleased to know that the firm has a network dedicated solely to supporting its women financial advisors. It’s another illustration of Raymond James’ commitment to their financial advisors.”
“I’m pleased to welcome Taylor, Annie and Teresa to Raymond James,” said Bell. “They are an experienced team, who over the years has built a loyal client base by operating with a client-first approach. We’re proud that they found Raymond James to be the best fit for them and their clients, and we look forward to supporting them as they grow their independent practice.”
