Raymond James Recruits $1.7 Million Advisor in Rochester, New York
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James recruited financial advisor John S. Banks to Raymond James & Associates (RJA) – the firm’s traditional employee broker/dealer – in Rochester, New York, according to John Kuklenski, Northern division director for RJA.
Banks joins Raymond James from Wells Fargo, where he previously served as a managing director and had $1.7 million in production. Joining him at the firm is Tricia Zanon, practice business manager.
“We are proud that Raymond James’ longstanding client-first reputation and culture of advisor support continue to appeal to outstanding advisors like John, as we further expand the firm’s presence in the Northeast,” said Kuklenski. “It’s a pleasure to welcome him and Tricia to Raymond James.”
“This feels very much like coming home,” said Banks, “back to a company that is client-centric, independent and not owned by a bank. The culture is a huge win for my clients, and the support and freedom to manage my business is a win for me.”
Banks has been in the financial services industry for 25 years and serves a diverse national clientele of families, business owners and professionals. He began his career as a financial advisor at A.G. Edwards in 1993 and after the firm’s acquisition by Wells Fargo, remained with Wells Fargo for 10 years before joining Raymond James. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner, he offers knowledgeable guidance in comprehensive financial planning services. Banks graduated from Dartmouth College.
“We’re delighted to have John partner with us following his rigorous due diligence process,” said branch manager Jeff Wolk. “John is admired and respected in the investment community, and we believe his dedication to his clients is unmatched. John and Tricia are a strong team, and we look forward to supporting them and their clients here at Raymond James.”
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, CFP® (with plaque design) and CFP® (with flame design) in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
