Raymond James welcomes advisor team managing $372 million in New Orleans, Louisiana

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James welcomed the Henderson Hutter Group to Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS) – the firm’s independent broker/dealer – in New Orleans, Louisiana, according to Kirk Bell, Central regional director for RJFS’ Independent Contractor Division. The group was founded by Lee Henderson, CRPS®, and George Hutter, CFP®. Rounding out the team are Megan Giardina, Christine Shea, financial planner, Patrick Kungl, investment associate, and Alli Eis, business operations coordinator.

Together, the team operates as Henderson Hutter Group and joins Raymond James from Merrill Lynch, where the advisors previously managed more than $372 million in client assets. The group serves a variety of clients, including retirees, sudden wealth clients and women investors, and has a focused niche group of energy company clients, given the team’s proximity to the Gulf Coast.

“What drove our search from the very beginning is what would be in the long-term best interest of our clients,” said Hutter, managing partner of Henderson Hutter Group and RJFS senior financial advisor. “The culture at Raymond James is refreshing and differentiated. It’s a client-centric and problem-solving culture, with management and support staff focused on how to help advisors find the right solutions, whether it relates to support with client service, resources or practice management.”

“The things we kept coming back to during our search were autonomy, flexibility, and stability. Raymond James checked all of those boxes,” added Henderson, managing partner of Henderson Hutter Group and RJFS senior financial advisor. “Raymond James has remained focused on their wealth management business since the firm was established more than 50 years ago. The strength and stability of the firm, the culture and the robust support ensure us that our move to Raymond James was the right move for our clients and our team going forward.”

“The Henderson Hutter Group is an exceptional advisor team, with the average age of the team at 32 and combined 50 years of experience,” said Bell. “I’m pleased to welcome them to the firm as they launch their independent practice. We look forward to providing the support they need as they continue to thrive and grow.”

Henderson and Hutter were recognized by Forbes magazine and Shook Research as two of the top next generation wealth advisors in the country in 2018* as well as the top two next generation wealth advisors in the state of Louisiana.

Advisors have built their own practices and lead their teams; joined teams and are viewed as future leadership; or a combination of both. Ranking algorithm is based on qualitative measures derived from telephone and in-person interviews and surveys: service models, investing process, client retention, industry experience, review of compliance records, firm nominations, etc.; and quantitative criteria, such as assets under management and revenue generated for their firms. Investment performance is not a criteria because client objectives and risk tolerances vary, and advisors rarely have audited performance reports. Rankings are based on the opinions of SHOOK Research, LLC. Neither SHOOK nor Forbes receives compensation from the advisors or their firms in exchange for placement on a ranking.
