Raymond James continues expansion in the Northeast, welcomes $255 million experienced advisor in Vermont

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Continuing the firm’s expansion in the Northeast, Raymond James recently welcomed financial advisor Hans Asoera, AAMS®, MBA, to Raymond James & Associates (RJA) – the firm’s employee advisor channel – in Burlington, Vermont, according to Kelly Anderson, senior vice president and regional director for RJA’s Northern New York/New England region.

Asoera operates as Peregrine Wealth Management of Raymond James and joins from Edward Jones, where he managed more than $255 million in client assets for a variety of clients, including small business owners, retirees and sudden wealth recipients. Joining him at Raymond James are senior client service associates Andrea MacLeod and Tracy LaPan.

Asoera was attracted to the firm’s culture, its focus on wealth management and the breadth of tools and resources that enable advisors in providing a truly individualized, custom experience for each client.

“Despite the uncertainty with the ongoing pandemic, I knew that moving to Raymond James – and doing so now, instead of postponing – was the best decision for the clients I serve,” said Asoera. “Thinking of making a move during a crisis can be intimidating, but I felt confident in Raymond James’ financial stability and leadership’s direction. And I trusted that the transition support team would help make the move as easy and efficient as possible for my clients and our team.”

Asoera brings more than three decades of experience in the financial services industry. His career began in 1989 as a financial advisor with Edward Jones. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Hanover College and an MBA in strategic management from Norwich University. He has also earned the Accredited Asset Management Specialist℠ designation.

“The Northeast region continues to be a key growth market for the firm, and we’re pleased to build on recruiting momentum by welcoming Hans, an outstanding advisor and addition to RJA,” said Anderson. “Despite these challenging times, advisors have continued to see the value in transitioning to Raymond James. We’re proud to be able to provide high-quality virtual transition support, as well as leading technology and extensive resources in support of advisors.”
