Raymond James continues expansion in West, welcomes financial advisors managing approximately $266 million in assets in Washington

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Continuing Raymond James’ expansion in the West, the firm welcomed financial advisors Jeff Anderson and Doug McClure, CFP®, in Bothell, Washington, to Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS) – the firm’s independent advisor channel – according to Bill Counsman, West regional director for RJFS.

The financial advisors joined from Wells Fargo Advisors, where they previously managed approximately $266 million in client assets. Together they operate as Legacy Wealth Partners and are affiliated with Mainspring Wealth Advisors, an existing RJFS-aligned advisor group. Joining the advisors at Raymond James are Sarah Hand and Monica Rock-Lorimor, account executives at Legacy Wealth Partners and RJFS senior registered client service associates.

"The team at Mainspring Wealth Advisors quickly showed us what the future of our business could be and helped us realize our vision of an independent practice. Coupled with the depth and breadth of resources from Raymond James, joining the team was a decision we felt confident in," said Anderson, co-founder and managing partner of Legacy Wealth Partners and RJFS financial advisor. "If the last year has taught us anything, it's that you want to be surrounded by people who challenge you to be better. For us, that's the team at Mainspring."

Anderson has been in the financial services industry for more than 20 years. Prior to Raymond James, he was a portfolio manager within the Wells Fargo Advisors Private Investment Management program and before that he served as a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch.

McClure, co-founder/partner of Legacy Wealth Partners and RJFS financial advisor, has been in the financial services industry for more than 35 years, most recently with Wells Fargo Advisors. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a graduate of Southern Oregon State University, where he received his degree in business administration.

With the addition of Legacy Wealth Partners and calendar year Q1 joins including financial advisor Jeramey Probert (approximately $61 million in AUM from Edward Jones in Silverdale, Washington), the network of advisors within Mainspring Wealth Advisors now manages approximately $4 billion assets.

"Over the last eight years, Mainspring Wealth Advisors has created a soft-landing place for advisors wanting to create an independent practice without the feeling of being alone, where they feel supported by not only Mainspring, but also through our alignment with Raymond James," said Kevin Skogen, Mainspring CEO. “Transitioning can be a daunting initiative to undertake alone, but we pride ourselves on creating a seamless transition for staff and clients. When we first sat down with Jeff and Doug, we knew it was an immediate fit for them to join our team because their values and client-centric approach match ours at Mainspring."
