Raymond James welcomes financial advisor managing approximately $500 million in assets

Robust platform of services, products and support attract experienced financial advisor

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James welcomed financial advisor Russell Riggan, AAMS®, in Snyder, Texas, to Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS) – the firm’s independent advisor channel – according to Kirk Bell, Central division director for RJFS.

Riggan joins Raymond James from Edward Jones, where he managed approximately $500 million in client assets. Joining him at Raymond James were Kali Pinson, client services director, and Rachel Rodriguez, client concierge. Together the team operates as Talent Financial Services and serves a variety of clients, including families, small business owners, corporate executives, farmers and ranchers, retirees and nonprofit organizations.

“Raymond James offers a robust platform of services, products and support that will help our team elevate the services and overall experience for our clients,” said Riggan. “The technology is intuitive and customizable, accommodating both simple and extremely complex planning scenarios, which makes it even easier for us to do business. The ability to self-brand in a manner that aligns with our team and the people we serve was an important factor in our decision to move as well. I’m excited about the future of our practice here at Raymond James, and I’m looking forward to leveraging the flexibility and support to not only serve my clients, but also to potentially welcome new financial advisors to our team in the future.”

Prior to Raymond James, Riggan was a financial advisor with Edward Jones Financial in Snyder, Texas, for nearly 18 years. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and an MBA from Texas Tech University.

Riggan chose to name his practice Talent Financial Services, after the parable of the Talents in the book of Matthew, about stewardship and blessing.

“We’re pleased to continue welcoming experienced financial advisors like Russell to Raymond James,” said Bell. “Launching one’s own independent practice can be an exciting and beneficial move, and I’m proud that Russell chose to align with Raymond James as he leverages the breadth of support here to grow his practice.”
