Alex. Brown welcomes client advisors managing $1.7 billion in assets in Miami, Florida

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Continuing its recent growth, Alex. Brown, a division of Raymond James, welcomed five client advisors managing more than $1.7 billion in combined client assets in Miami, Florida – according to Haig Ariyan, president of Alex. Brown.

“I’m pleased to welcome these experienced advisors to Alex. Brown as we continue to expand our presence in key markets like South Florida. The caliber of these individuals speaks to our position as a top destination for advisors seeking a high-touch, boutique environment backed by the extensive resources and forward-looking technology at Raymond James,” said Ariyan.

Joining Alex. Brown are client advisors Jose Diaz, Veronica Cereceda, Robert Dunn and Astrid Rodriguez all of whom were previously affiliated Wells Fargo. They operate from the Miami office which is led by Regional Executive Eric Termini. The location has now recruited 18 advisors this year, collectively representing $3.3 billion in client assets.

“Our decision to join Alex. Brown was based largely on the firm’s capacity to serve our sophisticated clientele, coupled with its welcoming corporate culture,” said Diaz, managing director.

Diaz has more than 23 years of experience in financial planning and investment management, having spent a majority of that time with his previous firm. Cereceda has also been in the industry for over 20 years, previously with Prudential Securities before it became Wachovia Securities and later Wells Fargo.

“I joined Alex. Brown primarily because of its culture of client-first, local management and the firm’s impressive technology offerings. These differentiators as a wealth management firm align with my expectations to serve the needs of our clients,” said Cereceda, director.

With over 30 years of experience, Dunn worked for Merrill Lynch, Bank von Ernst, Bankers Trust and Wells Fargo before this transition. Rodriguez began her career as a financial advisor in 1997 with Prudential Securities where she stayed throughout its acquisitions until this move to Alex. Brown. She maintains both Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) and Certified Private Wealth Advisor® designations.
