Raymond James welcomes Utah financial advisor managing approximately $185 million in assets
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James recently welcomed financial advisor Garrett Coates to Raymond James & Associates (RJA) – the firm’s employee advisor channel – according to John Simmons, West Coast regional director for RJA.
Coates arrives from J.P. Morgan where he managed approximately $185 million in client assets. Based in Cottonwood Heights, Utah, he provides holistic financial planning and guidance to a variety of clients, specializing in business owners, corporate executives and retirees.

Coates began his career in financial services at Chase Investment Services in 2008, and he joins RJA after a decade at his previous firm. He has 16 years of financial services experience and holds a bachelor’s degree from Southern Utah University.
