Raymond James welcomes advisors managing over $200 million in Roanoke, Virginia

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James recently welcomed financial advisors C. Drew Arney, CFP®, and Grant Watson III to Raymond James & Associates (RJA) – the firm’s employee advisor channel – according to Courtland Williams, Mid-Atlantic regional director for RJA. 

The advisor duo arrives from Truist Investment Services where they managed over $200 million in client assets. Operating as The Arney Group of Raymond James in Roanoke, Virginia, the team provides financial planning and guidance to individuals, families and business owners. They are joined by Registered Client Service Associate Anne Mullen.

Arney, senior vice president of investments, began his professional career in 2004. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Longwood University and holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional designation. 

Watson joined The Arney Group in 2024 as a financial consultant, bringing a foundation in accounting and finance. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Virginia Tech.
