Principal and the leading wealth advisor of Quest, an independent investment advisor, Kalita has 20 years of experience helping families create and preserve their wealth. In addition, she enjoys helping families plan and meet their philanthropic goals to maximize impact. As 40% of her clients are women, empowering women to better understand their financial affairs is a passion.
A fifth-generation Texan and Dallas native, Kalita graduated from The Hockaday School in 1977. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College, majoring in international policy studies, in 1981. She was among the college's first classes with female graduates.
Kalita has been active in both professional and civic organizations in Dallas and Boston. Most recently, she was named to the Caron Board of Trustees for North Texas. She continues on the Advisory Boards of the Dallas Foundation and the Dallas Women's Foundation. She also serves on the financial advisory committee of the Society of St. John the Evangelist monastery in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Over the last 10 years, she has served on the Investment Advisory Committee for the Dallas Women's Foundation, the Board of Trustees of The Hockaday School and the YMCA Foundation.
Married to Edward W. Blessing, Kalita enjoys traveling and fly fishing and is an avid tennis player.
