The Power of Brand Persistence: Is consistency king in your communications?

Is a Nike product still a Nike product without the signature swoosh? Of course. But you might not know it. That’s why applying your brand consistently – from the logo on your door to the one on your Facebook page – is so important. You want your clients and prospects to associate your group’s name with your commitment to service, your brand colors with your professional style and your tagline with your personal approach. So, it’s important that every time they see or interact with you or your business – whether in person, in print or online – they see the core elements of your brand represented well.

Ensuring a truly consistent brand experience for your clients starts with recognizing how many ways you connect with them. From their first visit to your website or Facebook page to their first meeting with you, each touch point adds up to their “cumulative impression” of your business. That means you have opportunities to make that impression a good one at every stage of the client experience, from discovery to commitment, by not just providing consistent support and service, but also by presenting your brand and its elements in a uniform way. Those elements include your group name, colors, logo, web address, social media profiles, imagery, photos, overall style, etc.

It’s important to remember that your client touch points are not always tangible in the traditional sense. Your digital touch points can have just as much influence on your clients and prospects, which is why again, consistency is key across every type of interaction. Ensure your online brand matches your brick-and-mortar brand, and follow through on client interactions at every stage of the relationship process – wherever they originate.
