Helen is the founding member of the AEGIS Advisors, an independent boutique firm specializing in making sense out of life planning strategies. A prolific speaker, Helen leads educational seminars in the Central Florida area and throughout Florida on multiple topics such as Understanding the Scrambled Alphabet Soups of Retirement Plans – 401A, 403B, 457B, Estate Planning for Busy People, VA Aid & Attendance Benefits and Parenting Parents: What You Need to Know as Your Parents Age. Helen's gift for clarifying complex issues is a source of encouragement which she hopes provides attendees with the confidence to move forward with life planning, retirement choices, aging parents, and estate planning.
Helen’s passion for service, and belief in creating a better world for future generations, has led her to serve on numerous not-for-profits boards. Organizations like Barry University School of Law, Valencia Community College Foundation, the Paralegal Advisory Program at Valencia Community College and WMFE have benefitted from this leadership. Her passion for servant leadership have resulted in multiple awards and acknowledgements: American Association of Women in Community Colleges – Valencia Community College Chapter, Gratuitous Service Award for helping to raise funds for scholarships and educational workshops, Dean’s Award Recipient – Barry University School of Law, Dean’s List – Barry University, Florida Association Community Colleges Institutional Advancement Commission Award of Excellence, Florida Council of Resource Development - Florida Benefactor Award, Mission Effectiveness Award – Barry University School of Law, Molton, Allen & Williams Corporation Manager of the Year for 15 consecutive years, National Association of Women Lawyer – Graduate of the Year, National Philanthropy Day Honoree, Telly Award for Media Publicity for Not-for-Profits – Anita Wooten Gallery Dedication, Valencia Community College – 40 Honorees for 40 Years, Valencia Community College Foundation Board Member of the Year Award for more than 5 years.
