Since 1975, Scott has worked as a financial advisor. Specializing in retirement planning, he has worked with retirees of some of the largest firms in the Puget Sound, as well as smaller, independent businesses.
He proudly holds the Certified Financial Planner™ certification, a credential earned through rigorous testing and a commitment to ongoing professional and ethical stewardship.
Originally from Chicago, Scott earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire. After years of working for top broker dealers, he opened up his own independent office of Raymond James in 1989.
Today, Scott lives in Kirkland, Washington, with his wife, Nancy. Their children, Laura and Matt, are now co-owners of Alden Capital Management. Scott works part-time as an advisor for the family business.
Scott enjoys jazz, hiking, and traveling, and volunteers for the Palm Springs Historical Society as a docent.
