Annette Alexander, Financial Advisor, is known throughout Indiana as a Wealth Management Specialist, and can be heard sharing her financial wisdom on Portland, Indiana’s radio station WPGW each Thursday morning. She has also completed the Raymond James educational course for Investment Mangement Consulting as well. She is currently a Vice President of Investments and began her career with Raymond James in November of 1999. Annette takes the time to listen to her individual and business clients and gain a clear understanding of their lives, needs, and goals. She strives to make each client feel comfortable knowing they are on a clearly defined path toward their financial goals and that she is here to accompany them on their journey.

Before joining Raymond James, Annette worked in the banking industry in Portland, beginning in 1992 as a mortgage lender at the former First National Bank and then as the branch manager of the former Pacesetter Bank. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Administration and a minor in Business from Ball State University in 1995. Annette was born in Winchester, Indiana, and grew up in Lynn, Indiana with her parents and sister. She and her husband, Jarrod, a retired police officer with the Indiana State Police, have lived in Portland since their marriage in 1992.

In her free time, Annette enjoys walking, practicing yoga, spending time with family and friends, traveling with her husband, volunteering in her community and church, experimenting with gluten-free cooking, learning anything artistic and playing in a women’s card club throughout the year.

Active in organizations throughout the community, Annette is a current member of the Jay County Hospital Foundation Board, the Rotary Club of Portland Board, Golf Brook Estates Community Association Board and is a member and children’s leader of The Rock Church. She has also served as a board member of the Jay County Chamber of Commerce, the Jay County Humane Society and Jay-Randolph Developmental Services, Inc., a private nonprofit community social service agency serving people with special needs. She was also involved in securing support for the 2015 Portland Water Park project. Annette is a graduate of the Jay County Leadership Academy and a past member of the Altrusa Club of Portland. She is an avid supporter and has served on various committees of Arts Place, Inc., an organization that nurtures the creative spirit by making art experiences available to local residents, artists and cultural organizations.
