Eric Belanger has been in the financial services industry since graduating from Appalachian State University in 2005 where he earned a dual degree in Finance and Banking, and Risk and Insurance. Eric also obtained his MBA from Campbell University's Lundy-Fetterman School of Business in 2012, and earned the AAMS® designation in 2019.
Eric is dedicated to providing financial guidance to individuals that have ownership of local, family-controlled businesses within the Triangle market. Originally from Apex, NC, Eric is very familiar with a lot of the unique needs, challenges, and concerns that these local business owners are faced with. In addition to investment guidance and financial planning, Eric walks business owners through the decision making process of starting up, buying into, expanding, and the eventual sale of their companies. He provides value to business owners by conducting insurance needs analysis, gives direction on operating agreements and succession planning, helps with improving cash flow efficiency, gives guidance on real estate and equipment financing, reviews alternatives to savings and money market accounts for a company's excess deposits, and can identify the most efficient retirement plan for a business and its owners.
In 2018 Eric joined Alger Financial and began utilizing his passion for small business and his skills in financial services to assist business owners with achieving their personal and professional financial goals. As a Financial Advisor, Eric is responsible for developing, managing, and being the primary point of communication for a number of relationships within the firm. Because the majority of a business owner's time and attention is dedicated to running their company, Eric and his team assume management of all the day-to-day investment responsibilities for his clients, make sure the aspects of both their personal and business finances are kept up with, and ensure they remain on track in being able to achieve their overall life and financial goals.
Eric now resides in Rolesville with his wife Ashley and their three children Henry, Peter, and Oliver. While not enjoying time with his family Eric also enjoys running and swimming, as well as all things outdoors.
