Jon Coon,

Jon works with select individuals, families and businesses to assist them in all aspects of their financial well-being. He began his career as a financial advisor in 2007 and obtained the titles of senior vice president and resident director at Merrill Lynch. Jon also holds the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor® designation. Jon joined Raymond James in 2024 and founded Pioneer Peak Wealth Management. He also serves as the branch manager.

Jon was an all-state basketball player at Colony High School and attended college at the United States Naval Academy (Annapolis), graduating in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and commissioned as a United States Naval Officer. While on active duty, he served as a naval supply officer on the nuclear-powered fast attack submarine USS Topeka (SSN-754) in San Diego, California, and at the Naval Air Station Meridian, Mississippi. He earned his Master of Business Administration degree from Mississippi State University while finishing active duty.

Jon volunteers his spare time coaching competitive basketball in his community. He also enjoys recreational gold mining, playing golf and exploring the Alaskan wilderness with his family. He and his wife Jamie, a dental hygienist, live in Palmer, Alaska. with their son, Jaydon, and daughter, Jazlyn.
