NURTURING YOUR PERSONAL VISION OF A WELL-EARNED RETIREMENT
I have enjoyed a nearly fifty-year advisory career focused on helping clients achieve financial independence.
I believe it is important work.
Many studies show most people save too little. Most people have never been taught the basics of investment principles. Most people let emotions overshadow the fundamental behaviors necessary for investment success, and many people just never plan for the future.
Yet, with the decline of old-style pensions, the financial viability of our potentially thirty-year retirement lives is completely in our own hands. We are on our own.
I believe, though, the road to success is simple, but based on the aforementioned studies, for many, it's not easy.
We believe we can help change that and our team is ready to help.
Below is my professional experience. I hope you find it compelling. Ours is a field where experience counts.
My financial career began as a trainee with Merrill Lynch in 1972. In the more than 40 years since, I have been a branch manager for Prudential Bache Securities, Dean Witter, and Morgan Stanley.
I am a former member of The New York Stock Exchange and New York Futures Exchange. I hold the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Chartered Financial Consultant® designations earned at The American College in Bryn Mawr, PA. I have also completed the Dean Witter Senior Branch Manager Training program at The Wharton School of Business at The University of Pennsylvania.
At Morgan Stanley, I was a Senior Vice President, a Portfolio Manager in the Custom Portfolio Group and a Wealth Manager in Houston, TX. While at Morgan Stanley, my partner Susan Dingle, CFP®, ChFC® and I were honored to be asked by the firm to speak to many groups, including advisors, about the value of asset allocation and how to choose appropriate asset managers.
My team spent five years at Deutsche Bank, Alex. Brown advising wealthy families, as well.
In 2010 Susan and I formed Aventura Partners, now called Aventura Family Office. We began with one goal in mind. We wanted to give our clients completely independent and unbiased advice on areas such as financial planning, investment management, legacy planning and charitable giving strategies.
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, Certified Financial Planner™, and in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.
