Susan’s 30-year career in finance began with seven years at a Fortune 100 energy company where she supervised the administration of the ERISA retirement plans and discovered her passion for working with individual families approaching retirement.
In 1993, she became a licensed financial advisor at Dean Witter Reynolds and, after the merger with Morgan Stanley, rose to senior vice president and wealth advisor. In 2005, Susan moved to Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown for an opportunity to work with ultra-high net worth individuals and families.
In 2010, after 17 years at a major brokerage firm, Susan co-founded Aventura Family Office, so her clients could reap the benefits of a small independent firm and receive a high degree of personal service. She holds Chartered Financial Consultant® and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certifications from The American College.
CFP® | CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ | Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., owns the certification marks above, which it awards to individuals who successfully complete initial and ongoing certification requirements.
