Having spent 38 years in the financial services industry, (26 of those years with A.G. Edwards and Sons Inc.,) Dean joined Raymond James in December of 2008. As a former veteran branch manager, his financial experience plays a large role in helping serve his clients. Drawn to Raymond James’ commitment to independence and client first philosophy, his primary focus is to simplify the sometimes complex process of investing and adding value in order to help clients reach their objectives.
Dean graduated from Franklin High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in Corporate Finance at Ball State University. Well versed in the technical aspects of financial planning, his expertise in the use of technology enhances his ability to help his clients reach their financial goals. Considerable time is focused on developing comprehensive asset management strategies, income tax planning and estate planning issues for his clients.
Philanthropy is a cornerstone of Dean’s commitment to community. He is a past Trustee of the Board at Franklin College and past Trustee of the Board at Johnson County Community Foundation. Dean has served as past president of several community organizations and helped establish the Johnson County Holiday Lighting Capital Campaign and the Community Involvement in Learning - Franklin Study Connection Program. A lifelong resident of Franklin and Johnson County, Dean resides in Franklin with his wife Dorcas.
In January of 2017 Dean was awarded the Sagmore of the Wabash from the State of Indiana and Governor Mike Pence. This honor is the highest distinction given by the Governor of Indiana for distinguished service in Indiana
The highest distinction in Indiana is the designation of Sagamore of the Wabash by the state governor, an award created by Governor Ralph Gates (1945-1949). “Sagamore” was a term used by Native American tribes of Indiana to describe a lesser chief or a great man among the tribe whom the chief consulted for wisdom and advice. This award recognizes citizens by their humanity in living, loyalty in friendship, wisdom in council, and inspiration in leadership.
