Our Service Model

Schedule of Services

Bacon Financial Advisors (BFA) advisor’s offer fee-based financial planning and wealth management services. We develop strategies for success minded individuals and families to help inspire confidence in their ability to reach their financial goals. Our plans are formulated using our expertise in both financial planning and our core discipline of investment management. Investments are managed on a discretionary basis for which we are compensated by asset-based fees. However, fees paid for asset management result in the inclusion of many of our financial planning services. Different levels of financial planning services are provided on a no obligation basis based upon total assets under management in fee based accounts.

Two types of fee based accounts can be utilized. The Passport account is constructed using carefully selected institutional class mutual funds. Other types of assets can be added to the account (e.g. stocks, bonds, ETFs, etc.), but these will incur transaction charges as they are put into the account and when adjusted during the investment management process. The second primary set of accounts we use are Unified Managed Accounts (UMA’s) and Separately Managed Accounts (SMA’s) accessed through Raymond James Asset Management Services research department. These accounts are managed by select active asset managers and hold individual stocks and/or bonds. All costs are transparent.

Four levels of Financial Planning services are offered. Each service level has a cost if purchased outright and is otherwise no obligation at the asset levels indicated. Someone desiring financial planning services at a level above their assets under management bracket will be given credit based upon their current asset level toward the financial planning service level they desire. Financial planning services are provided based upon one-year terms.

Below is an outline of our 4 service packages.
We did have a little fun naming each package but with a name like ‘Bacon’ how could we resist.

Basic Smoked Bacon

You can smoke bacon using different types of wood chips or sawdust for different flavors. For instance, Applewood will give the bacon a mild, fruity flavor. Oak and hickory will produce a stronger, heartier flavor.

Country Fried Bacon
Relationships of $250,001 to $750,000

Country Fried Bacon is indeed delicious, and you can’t find many places that provide this delicious treat(ment) . Bacon by itself is already an exquisite, heavenly culinary experience. When you combine that with being breaded and deep-fried, I don't know how I could pass that up.

So where did this delightful treat originate?
Sodolak's Original Country Inn restaurant in Snook, Texas claims this culinary invention. We all know Bacon is the ice cream of the meat world, high in Vitamin-G (grease) and bound to make the food police crazy! Add double-dipped in batter then fry & serve with a side of fat (cream gravy). Now you have the meat world’s version of Fried Ice Cream…Umh…Umh Irresistible.

Millionaire Bacon
Relationships of $750,001 to $2,000,000

Some of you may have heard of the Millionaire’s Bacon. It’s also known as the Million Dollar Bacon. We looked into why it’s called that but we honestly couldn’t find any origins. We think it’s just because bacon is already delicious and the addition of the sweet and spicy flavor after you taste it, makes you say, “WOW! This tastes like a Million Bucks!”

Sweet Maple restaurant in Lower Pacific Heights in San Francisco claims to have developed Millionaires Bacon. The owners spent many months perfecting this recipe, and this dish contains all the components of highly delectable food: smoky, salty, sweet, and spicy. Given the name, you're not quite sure if you have enough class to enjoy this dish. In fact, the supplementary ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen cupboard. The key is getting some thick-cut grass-fed smoked bacon.

This is smoked bacon that has been baked for 4 hours in a low oven and coated with brown sugar and salt. It is served warm with a drizzle of maple syrup. This bacon is fabulous. It is chewy, sweet, smoky and possibly a religious bacon experience. Homerun!

Bacon Explosion
Relationships over $2,000,000

A pork dish that consists of bacon wrapped around a filling of spiced sausage and crumbled bacon. The American-football-sized dish is smoked or baked. It became widely known after being posted on the BBQ Addicts blog, and quickly spread to the mainstream press with numerous stories discussing the dish. In time, the articles began to discuss the Internet "buzz" itself.

That, my friends, is what is affectionately referred to as the BACON EXPLOSION. This bacon monstrosity is made with crispy bacon (of course), ground pork sausage, a bacon weave and barbecue sauce. Sometimes it even has cheddar. This is not a joke, guys. But a very real, very serious recipe that people have made and eaten for dinner.

This concoction has upped the bacon ante. It’s a pork game changer, no doubt

In a fee-based account clients pay a quarterly fee, based on the level of assets in the account, for the services of a financial advisor as part of an advisory relationship. In deciding to pay a fee rather than commissions, clients should understand that the fee may be higher than a commission alternative during periods of lower trading. Advisory fees are in addition to the internal expenses charged by mutual funds and other investment company securities. To the extent that clients intend to hold these securities, the internal expenses should be included when evaluating the costs of a fee-based account. Clients should periodically re-evaluate whether the use of an asset-based fee continues to be appropriate in servicing their needs. A list of additional considerations, as well as the fee schedule, is available in the firm’s Form ADV Part 2A as well as the client agreement. Diversification and asset allocation do not ensure a profit or protect against a loss. Investing involves risk and you may incur a profit or loss regardless of strategy selected. The projections or other information generated by Goal Planning & Monitoring regarding the likelihood of various investment outcomes are hypothetical in nature, do not reflect actual investment results and are not guarantees of future results. Goal Planning & Monitoring results may vary with each use and over time.

Understanding a client’s goals – personal, professional and financial – deeply affects financial and investment recommendations.
