Financial guidance from any point in life

Learning Needs To Begin Early

Learning Needs To Begin Early

Many young people today have not been grounded in fundamental financial disciplines that lay the groundwork for financial success. Our team finds it both rewarding and enjoyable to work with people of all ages in helping them develop sound financial habits.

Children and teenagers

Financial training is a must for any young person.

However, there are many factors that can affect their views of finance including family affluence, whether they come from single parent homes, their parents’ financial struggles and a variety of social issues. That’s why it’s important to work with children and teens. And our team takes pride in knowing they’ve helped many a young person take their first steps on the road to financial success.

Ways in which our team works with this age group include:

  • Special education and training workshops
  • Individual mentoring

Above and beyond at Bacon Financial Advisors

Our team’s efforts to help young people learn about finances grew out of stories from clients. In these stories, clients would relate how it was sometimes difficult for them to teach their kids about the ins and outs of personal money management. As a result, we’re happy to provide young people with help in making decisions, developing good spending habits, the proper use of credit cards and more.

Young adults

Once young adults begin working, it’s imperative that good financial habits be put into place.

Newfound freedoms and a paycheck can have an empowering effect that needs to be tempered with wise choices and some elementary financial planning.

Our team enjoys working with 20-somethings on developing a process to use when making financial decisions such as:

  • Establishing a savings plan
  • Investment education and guidance
  • Employer retirement plan guidance
  • Managing student loans

Above and beyond at Bacon Financial Advisors

If you are in this newly established group of earners, the financial decisions you make in other areas of your life can sometimes be as important as the decisions you make regarding saving and investing. These areas include housing decisions, such as renting vs. buying, job decisions – even making wise choices for vacations.

We consider it a service to you and our community to help you begin on the right path to wise financial decisions.

Learning about finances early in life can help keep someone from making a lifetime of poor financial decisions.
