William E. Loveless II joined Barnes-Pettey Financial Advisors in 2017 when he merged his investment advisory firm, Apis Investment Group, with Barnes-Pettey. Bill attended Vanderbilt University and graduated from the University of Memphis with a degree in accountancy. Bill started his career with Slumber Products Corporation as controller and then served as its treasurer. When Slumber Products was sold in 1986 he founded and ran a family investment office, Haas Incorporated, for the Haas family. He became a registered investment advisor and started Apis Investment Group in 2001 which began his association with Raymond James Financial Services.
Bill has served on the vestry and as treasurer of the Church of the Holy Communion. He served on the Endowment Committee of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Memphis for many years, and was Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Chickasaw Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He is currently serving as a member of the Investment Committee of the Children’s Foundation of Memphis. He is a board member of the Harwood Center of Memphis, and is a founder and board member of the Guild of St. Hubert at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Memphis where he and his wife are members.
Bill is married to Mary Miles Loveless from Memphis and they have three daughters: Mary, Lucy, and Kate. He likes spending time with his family, and enjoys hunting, fishing, and golf.
