Barry M. Alpert Senior Vice President, Investments Managing Director

Barry joined Raymond James in 1997 as Managing Director, Investment Banking. Prior to joining Raymond James, he was a Senior Vice President, Investment Banking for Robert W. Baird & Co. Since 2012 he has been a Senior Vice President, Investments with his office in the Belleair branch. This role allows him to continue to serve friends and associates who are looking for investment and capital market guidance. Barry has extensive experience in the banking and insurance industries, having served as chairman, director, president or chief executive officer of numerous financial services companies, including Orange State Life, Home Life Assurance Corp., Life Savings & Loan, Pioneer Western, Western Reserve Life and Colony Savings Bank. He is a former member and Chairman of the Florida Real Estate Commission. Barry received his B.S. degree from Roosevelt University in Chicago and has a graduate degree in banking from the University of Wisconsin.

Over the past 45 years as a resident of Pinellas County, Barry has been involved in many philanthropic organizations. He was prior Chairman of WEDU/PBS, the Tampa Bay Partnership and Ruth Eckerd Hall and continues to serve on the board of the Florida Orchestra, the Florida Council on Economic Education, the Tampa Bay Partnership and Ruth Eckerd Hall.
