Robert Reininger III,

AIF®, CIMA®, CEPA® Wealth Advisor

I’ve been helping clients understand their investments for over 25 years. While a big part of my job is analyzing and adjusting portfolios, what I believe is most important is helping people understand the why behind their investments. Every client has a different story, and I believe good financial advice starts with understanding what really matters to them.

I take a disciplined, objective approach to portfolio management. I’m not chasing flashy returns. Instead, I focus on building portfolios with consistent growth potential and a strong emphasis on preserving capital. I try to make investing feel less complicated by explaining things in a way that makes sense, whether we’re talking about the overall strategy or a specific investment. I want clients to feel clear about what they own and how it connects to their goals, which often include retirement and the legacy they want to leave behind.

I work with people in all stages of life, but I find the most meaning in helping clients who are in or approaching retirement. That’s when we get to see the benefits of a strong savings and investment process. Planning for a personal legacy often becomes part of the conversation, and I really enjoy helping families think through how their wealth can support future generations.

Over the years, I’ve also learned that financial decisions are rarely just about money. I’ve gotten better at helping people understand their own relationship with money and giving them the tools and education to make smart, grounded decisions especially when emotions run high.

I started my career in 1996 with Dean Witter Reynolds in Eugene, Oregon, and later joined RavenRock Wealth Partners. In 2017, our team affiliated with Raymond James because of its strong client-first philosophy. When the opportunity arose in 2023 to merge with Bend Wealth Advisors and work alongside a like-minded team, I knew it would be the best move for my clients. I’m proud to be part of a group that brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach to every relationship. I hold a B.A. from Wabash College and have earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst℠, Accredited Investment Fiduciary®, and Certified Exit Planning Advisor designations.

I live in Bend with my wife, Suzy and we’ve been married for over 30 years. She’s a core part of the downtown business community and runs a beloved local toy store. We’re proud parents of an adventurous adult daughter, Alex. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me out in the woods with my dogs. I’m a trail runner (I’ve completed a few ultramarathons, including a 100k), a cyclist, and a big believer that any day outside is a good day. I also volunteer with public land stewardship groups, support the local arts, and serve on the finance committee at Central Oregon Community College.
