About
Joey founded Joey Bocci Financial with a simple yet profound mission: to care more about people than money. He believes true financial success isn’t measured by the size of an investment portfolio, but by the ability to achieve meaningful goals and bring joy to oneself and others. With over 18 years of experience in financial advising, Joey has guided clients through both prosperous times and economic downturns, including the 2008-2009 recession.
Joey’s passion for financial planning is rooted in his faith and the belief that money should be used intentionally to create opportunities, financial confidence, and generosity. He takes a personalized, values-based approach to helping clients build financial confidence through investment management, retirement planning, estate strategies and risk management.
Education & Professional Credentials
Joey began his college journey at University of Colorado Boulder, where he met his wife while they were both serving as Young Life ministry leaders. He later earned a Bachelor of Science in aerospace operations from Metropolitan State University of Denver and an MBA in leadership from Colorado Christian University. Joey further advanced his expertise by earning the Accredited Asset Management Specialist™ (AAMS®) designation from the College for Financial Planning and became a Certified Financial Planner® professional through Pepperdine University’s George L. Graziadio School of Business and Management.
Service & Leadership
Before becoming a financial advisor, Joey proudly served in the Colorado Air National Guard, where he completed active-duty tours after 9/11 and was deployed overseas for Operation Iraqi Freedom. His military experience instilled in him a deep sense of discipline, strategic thinking and a commitment to service – principles he carries into his work with clients.
Family & Community
Joey and his wife, Lauren, live in Mead, Colorado, where they are raising their two daughters, Blair and Isabella. Their home is filled with love, laughter and the playful energy of their two Aussie doodles, Lady Liberty and Merica.
Outside of work, Joey and Lauren dedicate their time to the ministry Young Life, a global mission focused on mentoring and supporting youth in their faith journey.
Joey believes that financial planning is about more than numbers – it’s about helping people live a life of purpose, security and generosity.
