Sincere and empathetic, Nevin always puts his clients’ needs first while sharing with them his honest advice. He specializes in explaining complex financial jargon in terms that are easy to understand, enabling clients to feel empowered in their financial lives and make informed decisions regarding their wealth. “Our goal is to help clients use their money to create the lives they dream of while also addressing their day-to-day needs,” he says.

As vice president of wealth management with Bannister Raney Cavanaugh Wealth Group of Raymond James, Nevin is responsible for maintaining and managing investment models, closely collaborating with his business partner, Mark Raney, throughout the planning process. Nevin works primarily with multigenerational families, offering comprehensive portfolio construction along with long-term financial planning services.

Nevin began his career in 1999 as a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch. He joined UBS Financial Services in 2001, later accepting the role of vice president and financial advisor at RBC Wealth Management, a position he held for a decade. In 2019, Nevin and his team made the move to Raymond James, inspired by the firm’s client-first approach and renowned reputation.

Nevin holds a Bachelor of Arts from Wartburg College. He remains very active in his community, serving as a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church and School and as a supporter of Catholic Charities, the OK200 charity ride, Iowa Catholic Radio, Connection Café, United Way and FOCUS.

A lifelong Iowan, Nevin makes his home in Clive with his wife, Tamara. They have three children, Samantha, Mary Kate and Jack, and a German shepherd named Shelby. Aside from spending time with his beautiful family, Nevin enjoys cycling, cooking and coaching basketball and softball.
