Prior to joining Raymond James, Elisabeth Nethery worked at Merrill Lynch for over 6 years, in Southwest Florida. She has managed team marketing and events, in addition to providing goals-based planning and education for families, business owners and 401(k) participants. Elisabeth has a passion for estate planning, as well as helping clients downsize and transition into the various phases of retirement.
You’ll likely hear her talk about Family and Community Legacy, which are both deeply important to her, personally and professionally. Intending to work in development, she majored in Sociology and Anthropology and spent years traveling to underserved communities. As an MBA student, she worked with widows in India to develop small businesses.
She believes that businesses have a uniquely powerful ability to create and sustain wealth, which can be both profitable and good. Elisabeth also feels that on both ends of the wealth spectrum, we need good financial services, literacy and planning to grow and preserve wealth for the next generation, as well as to move people out of poverty.
Elisabeth and her family live in Reston, Virginia, where her husband works developing unmanned systems technology for the Department of Defense. When away from work, they love to explore the local area, and spend time with their wild boys.
