Courtland is an experienced financial advisor who works with a select number of families, providing comprehensive and multigenerational financial guidance. His aim is to guide them in pursuit of their goals, provide confidence in their financial planning and enable them to focus their time on more important matters in their lives.

Additionally, Courtland is a leader within Raymond James as a regional director of Raymond James & Associates, overseeing the firm’s growth and operations of its Southern Division.

Courtland founded his practice in 2003 in Birmingham, Alabama, with the firm Morgan Keegan. He moved his practice to Greenville in 2011 to manage the firm’s offices there while continuing to serve his clients’ needs. When Raymond James acquired Morgan Keegan in 2012, he continued as a leader within the area as a branch manager, then complex manager leading the firm’s upstate South Carolina offices. In 2019, he was appointed regional director for an area covering Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina and Tennessee.

He is a graduate of the Raymond James Senior Leadership Program and has served on the firm’s Branch Manager Advisory Council, AMP Advisory Council – a program for training new advisors – Raymond James Trust Advisory Council and the Change Management Advisory Council.

Originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Courtland earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Auburn University, where he was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. Today, he lives in Greenville with his wife, Kaitlyn, and children, Roger and Noelle.

He is a member of the United Way Palmetto Society, the Greenville Museum of Art and the Greenville Associate Reform Presbyterian Church. When not busy helping his clients, Courtland enjoys golf, tennis, reading, and spending time with his family.
