This June, we've celebrated diversity at Raymond James, with a focus on pride in the workplace and our support of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender associates, along with their allies (LGBTA).
LGBTA Pride Network at Rays Pride Night
Raymond James associates cheered on the Tampa Bay Rays as they took on the Oakland Athletics Friday, June 9. The Rays pride night brought together St. Pete Pride members and its allies, as well as offering a special ticket package, including a lower box seat, a Rays Pride mug and t-shirt.
Business of Pride Event
Chief Human Resources Officer Stan Duncan was recognized as an "Outstanding Voice" at the 2017 Business of Pride Event, hosted by the Tampa Bay Business Journal. This recognition means that, under Stan's leadership, Raymond James is a company working to advance issues impacting lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality in the workplace.
“I’m working to encourage our leaders to be open in the way others think, act and look, even if it’s different from themselves,” said Stan, “knowing that we have a common goal of growing our businesses and strengthening our communities. I only hope to inspire other voices to be fellow influencers for inclusion.”
St. Pete Pride Parade & Street Festival
Members of the Raymond James LGBTA Pride Network participated in the St. Pete Pride Parade Saturday, June 24. Associates volunteered to hand out beads and show their support for Pride Week by riding on the Raymond James float. On Sunday, June 25, associates and a few of our advisors represented Raymond James at a booth at the street festival.
LGBTA Pride Network
The LGBTA Pride Network is committed to providing our lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender associates, along with their allies (LGBTA), with the support and resources they need to grow and excel at Raymond James. It also serves as a medium for promoting tolerance in the workplace and fostering a diverse and inclusive environment, as well as contributing to the productivity and profitability of Raymond James.
