As a financial advisor at Carlyon-Stoops Family Financial Planning, Susan's primary focus includes assisting clients through life events and providing strategies. Client concerns or needs may include cash management, financing or refinancing a mortgage, providing a bridge loan utilizing securities, portfolio risk management, estate planning strategies or financing future assisted living goals. In addition, Susan provides portfolio oversight, client reviews and acts as a resource for clients when they need a referral to other professionals such as attorneys, CPAs, real estate agents, etc.
Susan began her career as a financial consultant with Merrill Lynch, moving to Smith Barney in 1998 and then to Raymond James & Associates in 2011. She attended Michigan State University, has earned the Wealth Management Specialist designation and has been a member of the Raymond James Chairman's or President’s Club* since joining the firm. In addition, she has participated as a mentor with RAMP – a program at Raymond James that assists in bringing qualified women into our industry. Susan is actively involved in her community, with her family and in her free time enjoys hiking, traveling and being in or on the beautiful waters of northern Michigan.
