Prior to beginning his career in financial services, he worked in marketing as a relationship manager. He received his undergraduate degrees from The University of South Florida in Marketing and Finance. He received his MBA from LSU in Shreveport.

He enjoys golfing, fishing, and supporting local minor league sports. Damon and his wife, Alexandria, have one son, Damon Alexander.
