For more than 30 years, Rod has made a concerted effort to treat each and every client as a unique individual and give his utmost attention to their goals, needs and concerns. As the founder of Clugston Wealth Management, he is grateful to have surrounded himself with dedicated team members who excel in treating clients with dignity and care.

Rod devotes each day to getting to know his clients, listening to what is important in their lives and striving to make their financial goals coincide with their life goals. He considers it a pleasure to work with clients who have a long-term vision for their future and financial well-being. “Over the years, they become more than just clients, they become part of our family,” Rod says.

Whenever clients have a question or concern, Rod aims to respond promptly, completely and truthfully, providing all of the information they need to make informed decisions, based on realistic expectations about their investment needs.

Rod is also committed to supporting his community. He has been involved with numerous organizations and institutions over the years and has taught financial classes at North Idaho College.

In 2024, Rod moved his financial practice to Raymond James, where he and his team have access to the experienced specialists and robust services of one of the largest independent full-service financial services firms not headquartered on Wall Street. The firm’s unique culture of independence gives advisors complete freedom to offer objective advice that is solely in the best interest of their clients.

Previously, Rod was a financial advisor at Edward Jones, where he worked for three decades and began his career after earning his master’s degree in 1993 from Miami of Ohio University. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Montana State University-Northern. As an Accredited Asset Management SpecialistTM, Rod completed in-depth coursework with the College for Financial Planning® that encompassed investments, insurance, tax, retirement and estate planning issues.

Rod was born in Spokane, Washington, and was raised in Kalispell, Montana. Today he lives outside of Hayden, Idaho, with his wife, Lynn, and their three children: Tucker, Whitney and Scarlett. He enjoys spending time with his family and being involved with their many activities. An avid outdoorsman, Rod enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, horseback riding and relaxing times at the lake.
