John has been helping people achieve their financial goals since 1976, applying a wealth of knowledge and experience to resolve even the most complex financial issues confronting his high-net-worth clients.
He spent 25 years at Morgan Stanley, where he was a first vice president of investments and a senior investment management consultant with the firm’s Investment Consulting Group. He went on to work at Smith Barney for nine years. In 2008, he formed Colorado Wealth Management of Raymond James with his son Josh and other key staff.
John has amassed many credentials over the course of his well-established career. He earned the IMCA Certified Private Wealth AdvisorSM designation to enhance his ability to manage the financial complexities of wealth that affect his high-net-worth clients. He became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional through the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. And he completed IMCA’s Certified Investment Management AnalystSM designation program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School as a means to provide state-of-the-art investment theory to guide his individual and institutional clients in making prudent investment choices.
In addition, John is a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA) and the Southern Colorado Financial Planning Association.
In his free time, John enjoys traveling, skiing, reading and spending time with his grandchildren. He and his wife, Renee, have been married for more than 40 years and are active in their church and community.
