Courtney’s approach to helping her clients pursue their financial goals is to provide education that will enable her clients to proceed with trust, confidence and comfort regarding complex financial decisions. She listens to and understands her client’s unique wishes, performs rigorous research, creates custom financial plans and curates investments designed to meet their goals and situation. Courtney understands that each situation is different, and she assists her clients as they strive for many kinds of goals like retirement, managing generational wealth and navigating through the questions that arise during a divorce or the loss of a loved one.
Courtney is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, among the most rigorous certifications available to financial advisors, that requires continuous training and learning. She is a summa cum laude graduate of Oregon State University with two bachelor’s degrees in business administration and Spanish and has been a financial advisor since 2007.
In addition to her professional achievements, Courtney volunteers her time with organizations and causes close to her heart. She is the co-president of Metzger Community Preschool, where her son is a student; she founded and operated Her Financial Way, an organization dedicated to financial education for women, for six years; she helped to found WIN (Women in Networking), a group through the Tualatin Chamber of Commerce, and she served on the Tualatin Chamber of Commerce board of directors for two years.
When she isn’t assisting her clients, community organizations or speaking as a featured contributor at business events, she enjoys travel and exploring Oregon’s vast natural beauty with her husband Sam and their two sons.
