Taking thoughtful steps toward your goals

You’ll find that our planning, like our advice, is straightforward and personalized to your needs. Your life is going to change – change is inevitable. We’re here to help you through those changes, adapting your financial plan and investments as needed.

We follow a comprehensive, six-step process developed by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. It is designed to help us develop a true sense of who you are and what you expect, so that we can build a unique strategy to see you through the saving, growth and, ultimately, the careful distribution of your retirement income.

Establishing and defining our relationship
In this first step, we’ll sit down and discuss things such as how decisions will be made. Financial decisions are too often made piecemeal, resulting in a portfolio that’s cluttered and less than cohesive. We focus on planning that takes each decision into consideration as part of a whole. In this way, each area works together in pursuing financial goals – from achieving financial independence to preserving important assets.
Gathering information, including your goals
We assemble all information regarding your financial situation, mutually define your personal and financial goals, understand your time frame for results and discuss your tolerance level for risk. This is vital information we need before moving forward.
Analyzing and evaluating your financial status
We analyze this information to assess your current situation and determine what action is required to help meet your goals. This step may include analyzing your assets, liabilities, cash flow, insurance coverage, investments and tax strategies.
Developing and presenting financial plan recommendations
We offer financial planning recommendations that help address your goals, based on the information you provided. We review the recommendations with you and help you understand them, so you can make informed decisions. We carefully listen to your questions and concerns and revise our recommendations, as appropriate.
Implementing the financial plan
Once the financial plan meets with your approval, we carry out our recommendations, coordinating the process with you and, when appropriate, other professional advisors, such as your accountant or attorney.
Monitoring the financial plan
With your authorization, we will monitor the progress toward your goals and report to you periodically, review your situation and adjust the plan, if needed, as your life changes.
